There is clear evidence that the workers have not been fairly given their rightful share of the fruits of prosperity in society. Don't simply blame it on the capitalistic system which is not perfect but still acceptable because of its incentive to achieving economic efficiency by all factors of production. In my humble opinion, the main culprits are the black sheep of the financial world and the heartless top management such as most CEOs and their lieutenants. CEOs are supposed to be employees but , in fact, they are pulling a fast trick on both workers and the modern shareholders who are absentee owners of public corporations.
