Poem ( 詩 ) - ( 14 ) - 2 Odes to comemorate the June 4, 1989 Tiananmen Massacre

Poetry & Prose - Poem ( 詩 ) - ( 14 ) -  念六四詩二 首 - 2 Odes to commemorate the June 4, 1989 Tiananmen Massacre

( 一 )   清清學子未立冠,拋頭洒血洗天門,
Thousands of pure and high minded young students were massacred at Tiananmen.

            血肉之軀難敵鋼,義薄雲天非一般。
Their vulnerable bodies could not combat tanks made of steel and so they heroically fell for their   ideals.

( 二 )    豺狼逆施羞中羞,六四殤愁愁更愁,
Wolves of a government persecute our innocent citizens. Let shame be upon the culprits.

             慾睹民主自由日,也恐教人憂再憂。
If we want to see democracy come about in China I fear it will still be some time yet.
